77 - Migrants who were returning to their homes in Uttar Pradesh were sprayed with sodium hypochlorite by a team on sanitising duty at the Bareilly bus stand. Migrants who had walked from Delhi and Noida were told to sit at the bus stand by officials who said that they would be taken on buses and would be given food. Instead, much to the shock of the group, which also consisted of women and children, men in protective suits hosed the group down with the chemical in an attempt to sanitise them and their belongings.
