This wall is located in the entrance parking area of Bend It Pickle & Paddle courts, BNR Hills, Hyderabad. The brief was to use their brand colours, to begin the design 6ft off the ground so as to not be blocked by parked cars, and mainly to do something cool.
My brother Adhir and I teamed up for this and decided to do a 3D sort of design with large structures and archways to give it an illusion of depth - a combination of straight, hard-edged elements inspired by aspects of the sport, coupled with ribbon-like patterns to soften the whole composition. This wall is visible through the entire site and so these large block-like elements can be seen no matter where you are on the property.
Drawing the design onto the wall was the technical bit that was challenging and took a bit of time and had to be done with careful attention. Once this was done, it was onto the fun part. Took us about two weeks from start to finish.
